Current Training: K'Pyn (Evus).
Circle test this week: I almost killed a Midnight Wendecka before getting flattened. I'm pretty sure I could kill these two without much difficulty, without that Orga Wrath and Young Sas smacking me.
Donations: Prometha has been joined by
one Loom'bir, who is building a public bath house. Toga! Toga! Toga!
Exploration: Looked around various 'Brion brother's keeps, using what appears to be their private Ethereal Plane passages interconnecting their homes.
Soldi, day 26 of Summer, 545.
I've been hunting up a storm lately.
In the past couple of days, I have been a true rank whore and gone hunting in
the Valley, twice. I even helped on a quick rescue on Dal'Noth (It is strange
that Drue and Entil didn't seem to want to leave ...). I've had to deny the
strong pull of the library far more than is good in order to do it, but it's
been fun.
Today, we found a Blind Amphibian in the Tahxis cave, and four of us killed it. It took some effort, and we were huffing and puffing and whiffing away, but no one fell.
Earlier, in the TGBG, I slaughtered two Tree Giants (out of 6). Not a good trend.
Well, those culcans have just kept being
a menace around Kizmia's Island day after day, so today we decided to do something
about it. After clearing Fat Alice's basement, a group of us headed North around
the island and ran into one of these beasts.
With Perkusi and Tuzar Bloodblade acting as the rod-sponge-brick-target-thingie, Shen Calin had at it with his Blodblade whilst Glaurung and I used Fell Blades. With a bit of effort, we did finish it off this time. Hooray!
The other one is still out there though, since by the time we located it, many in the hunting party had to leave. Maybe it will be waiting again for tomorrow?
Sombdi, day 18 of Summer, 545.
I did quite a bit of hunting today, making the rounds of pretty much everywhere I usually go: Lily Pond -TGBG - Rocky Cavern, around KI waters for Baltoise and then a couple Lyfes on Fat Alice's beach, a quick chain rescue of five fallens in Noids, Pods, a nasty surprise in the Orga Camp when I met a Fury that I could barely hit while surrounded by regular Orga I was trying to clear, I got rescued, and then quick run to Boneswood and Wisher's Gate with Spirit, Mujin-kun and Arkin. As usual, I couldn't open the path.
The hunting highlight of the day was
attempting to kill one of the two(!) culcans we found around Kizmia's Island.
We had Perkusi and Baffette rodding it, and Shen Calin bloodblading. We actually
had the beast quite wounded, when the rod faltered and a swarm of Carnivorous
Plankton overtook us.
With a third healer to keep the fighters healthy so that Baffette could concentrate on healing Perkusi, and I think we would have finished it off. Unfortunately, by this time, most of the group had to head in to the library. One day soon, we will certainly accomplish this.
Soldi, day 5 of Summer, 545.
True to their word, Jo Ma'ril and Newton appeared out of the library bright and early this morning, and we set out, together with Shen Calin and Slasher (who I had not seen in quite some time) and a several other exiles, on a hunt in and around Kizmia's Island. We found many Baltoise and several Megamouths around the island, some Hunter's Lyfelidae on the beach, and a few Cave Cobras and Stingling Beetles in the basement of Fat Alice's hut. In the basement, I saw several large rats that looked like Valley Rats, but on closer examination turned out to be quite distinct Cavern Rats instead. After this, we killed a couple Darshak Liche in the Dark Temple, and then poked into the Astral Plane, which we found utterly deserted. We finished with a hunt in the Dark Chamber, where I got to play the part of uber-brick for several younger exiles. Scary thought, that! All in all, a fun day.
Terrdi, day 1 of Summer, 545.
It must be a trend. Or a statistical fluke. Both Jo Ma'ril and Newton tumbled from the library early today, along with Shen Calin. Together with a couple other fighters and healers, we hunted Baltoise near Kizmia's Island, Beetles in Fat Alice's basement and Wailing Spirits in the Dark Chamber. Jo kept joking that we should try the Valley, and with that crowd we could likely almost have done it. Jo says he's trying to be around more at the times I'm awake, so I look forward to more hunts with him in the coming times.
Sombdi, day 87 of Spring, 545.
Today, I came out of the library to
find that POS had taken over. With 4 members awake at the same time, we were
almost 40% of the population, and definitely most of the muscle.
Yes, it was a quiet morning.
So with Newton and Jo Ma'ril along as delegates from the POS Committee To Visit Shut-In Off-Peak Society Members, Coeur and I went off to hunt. We had some fun in the TGBG. After Newton and Coeur retired to study, we were joined by Shen Calin, and tried our luck at the Coliseum. I had time only for one Orga Wrath, and we were both red when he smacked me hard to the mat. I still need a bit more Atkus training to hit these consistently, but was dodging the attacks pretty well.
Fordi, day 79 of Spring, 545.
Algernon has turned up missing again,
and today it was felt that he was somewhere in Umbrion's Keep. Perkusi wandered
off alone through the ethereal passage in Tenebrion's conference room (see below)
to try to find him, and was successful only in eliminating places that he wasn't.
Then she fell trying to get back to town through Tenebrion's Keep.
Several of us rushed over to help, and found her in the Smithy at Tenebrion's Keep, where Cronos had dragged her before falling himself.
Kodo, PureHeat and I promptly got stuck behind a ring of guards, including several Dark Knights. Kodo eventually slipped free to organize a rescue for the rescue, while PureHeat and I were slowly whittled down by the Dark Knights.
Tenebrion's smith was rather chatty, once we were cornered. He also kept asking more guards to come in to keep us surrounded.
Soldi, day 67 of Spring, 545.
When I stepped out of the library today, I received a couple sunstone messages saying that there was a group in trouble in the Snaggywood. I headed straight over, and met up in Sycamore's snell with a group led by Mouser that was looking for several fallen exiles. We worked our way to Bones' snell and found three fallens, who could not be raised by the one Healer along with us, Viviana. D'nah chained these fallens and we headed out to the Orga Camp so she could take them to town for healing.
Mouser, Viviana and I went back into the Snaggywood to find the last two fallens, who were not on the main route to Bones' snell. We found them in Tonle's snell, quite rat chewed, along with a lot of assorted Orga. Mouser fell trying to hold the Orga away from the fallens so I could chain them, and I broke a chain trying to get a hold on them through a mass of feeding rats. With a bit of running around the snell to organize the many Orga, I was able to finally grab the two original fallens and Mouser. It must have been a wild ride for them, since I made a wrong turn at one point (oops), and it took quite a bit of dodging and weaving to find a snell quiet enough to check the tree markings. I then quickly made my way back to Sagramor's snell, where Viviana had been waiting for us. She raised Mouser, but the other two needed Algernon's help in town.
After seeing them raised in town, I rejoined Mouser in the Orga Camp, and we headed back to Flex's snell to kill a Fury we had passed there earlier. All in all, a fun and exhilirating day.
Terrdi, day 63 of Spring, 545.
I heard a rumour that Elenis had turned up something interesting in Tenebrion's office, so today I headed over to see what the fuss was about. Luckily for me, Shen Calin just happened to have a Pass Key for Tenebrion's back door, on loan from Hellpop, so we could just walk right into his office without a fight.

In Tenebrion's office, we saw an unusual door on the West wall that had not been visible in my previous visits here. Stepping through, we entered a part of the Ethereal Plane, inside a skull circle. Luckily, inside the circle was only lightly defended by Wraiths. Outside the skull ring, however, it looked very heavily infested with Undine and Ethereal creatures.
The ring itself consisted of a barrier of skulls surrounding a flaming Kyeum, with blue and red flames arranged in intervals around the ring edge, so that there were six of each. Apparently, this is the 'Brion brother's Ethereal doorway to each other's homes.
Touching a blue flame led us to another physical plane. The Northmost one (12 o'clock) led back to Tenebrion's office, while the 2 o'clock flame led to Umbrion's keep on Kizmia's Island, 6 o'clock to Melabrion's rocky undergound lair, and 10 o'clock to Cimmbrion's glade. The 4 and 8 o'clock flames did not seem to lead us anywhere, although one can easily surmise that these must lead to the other brother's keeps as well.

We explored a bit in each brother's stronghold, but found no doors or paths leading further into Cimmbrion's or Melabrion's. Knowing full well what was waiting outside Umbrion's keep, the two of us didn't venture out of his tower.
