Merdi, day 22 of Winter, 547.

Today, we hunted Culcans around Kizmia's Island.

With Shen Calin's Bloodblade and several healers taking the fierce blows, we were able to kill two of these beasts.

The main hazard was the Giant Carnivorous Planton that swarmed about.

Today, I visited Melabrion's Island for the first time, and helped clear it of young Sasquatches and Mud Golems. I was very disappointed that the first Mud Golem I hit was only a 'kill', but am pleased overall to have another quick hunting option.

Afterward, I joined a small hunt in the Valley with this group.

I really like these small group hunts.

With a good group, the Valley holds plenty of challenges, as the rainbow of health shows in this sketch.

Lundi, day 5 of Winter, 547.

Another New Year, but not much fanfare from me. I've simply been in exile too long to greet another year with much enthusiasm. I've settled into life here and hate to be reminded of how much I have lost, and how powerless I am to recover people I love and places I wish to be. It's so much easier to remain oblivious to the inexorable turning of the Great Wheel of Time.

After the recent Chaos Storm, I noted that the barrier leading north from beyond the pathfinder test cave at the North Gate seems to have opened up.

No amount of staring at the walls nearby has allowed me to see a way to get to this grassy area, from near the North Gate, North Farms or from within the pathfinder test caves.

I desperately long to try to go North from there.
