Merdi, day 67 of Summer, 549.

On my wanderings lately, I have seen a few odd things.

While coin hunting in the Northwest Forest recently, I found myself surrounded by coins. Normally, one can skin critters and add coins to one's purse only in one handful at a time. As I had noticed some time ago, if I skin too many critters too quickly, the fur values add up and I can add a group of coins to my purse, instead of trying to do each fur's-worth individually. What was odd today, is that I seemed to be inundated with coins all of a sudden, floating all around me, and I was adding them to my bag individually, not added together. I tried and tried to repeat this, but never could. Very curious.

I also visited Cassia Allin to check how her fortifications were progressing and to drop off some extra wood, when I noticed that one of those annoying slugs fllowed me right into her hut. I had never seen critters inside here before and had thought it was safe from them. Apparently not.

I was also very amused to notice the graffitti on this tree on Kizmia's Island.

One must wonder why he chose to mark and claim this particular one.

Somehow, I hadn't pictured Michael as a tree-hugger.

Soldi, day 42 of Summer, 549.

* Looking at the sky, you see that it is late night.
* The moon is full tonight.

Yes, the Moon was full. And not a Mystic in sight, not even an Apprentice. No one even considered attacking the deep Orga camps this night.

Instead, I joined Mujin-kun, Tyndall and Sabbit in hunting at the East Cove of Kizmia's Island, together with Birch and Sakura. Full Moon night Lyfelidae hunts are always a challenge, and this was no exception.

We found two Orgaberry Lyfelidae prowling in the entry cave. Despite several attempts, we could not separate them, and could not manage to kill either one of them because the second one always quickly latched onto the unprotected back of one or another of us until he fell. At one point, all of us were fallen, and the healers had to chain us to safety to raise us all.

Finally, Midnight passed and a hush fell over the Lands. We quickly were able to vanquish both 'normal' night-time Orgaberrys, as well as a large number of Tae-Su and Flower Lyfelidae in the glacier above the cove. It was a shame to not vanquish all those under the Full Moon, but I suspect we would have continued to struggle with those extra-powerful foes, and likely would not have prevailed. Even Sabbit was being hit readily by these beasts, and our overall health was drained very very quickly.

Lundi, day 22 of Summer, 549.

Looking around after the recent Chaos Storm, I noticed a new type of foliage on these old trees. It seems to be a pleasant change.

Also, Repetta and her circle test record scrolls have finally been united in the Fighter Hall, near the exit door. I would really love to take a close look through those and prepare my own copy of who is in what circle, but she is unwilling to let anyone else leaf through them.

I have heard much talk over the past years of several distinct types of rocks one can find around the island, and have seen many kinds offered at the Raffle Hall, but amazingly had never found any myself. Until today, when I spotted a powdery white rock on the Kitty Beach.

I was also very pleased to spot this Forest Drake in the Northwest Forest, conveniently near a nice rock barrier. While it huffed and puffed ineffectively at the rocks, I was able to clear away all the little critters, making my attack so much easier.

I enjoy fighting Drakes, but only rarely find one myself so I can solo it. Most often I rush to the aid of some younger exile who managed to send a hurried sunstone message before getting fried by a wandering Drake, and then have to compete with the ensuing crowd for a swing at it.
