Merdi, day 63 of Spring, 550.

Well, Winter is long gone and Spring is halfway over, and still Swengus will not allow me to teach. I now have an estimated 960 lessons with Swengus, what with all my recent Balthus and Regia training. I finally balanced out those two skills, and have now switched to Swengus' own lessons. How much more training can it take?

My only consolation is that I am certain that it can't require too much more (50 or less), since Kishi received her Training Ledger having less that 1000 lessons. As much as 40 more, will I last that long? My patience is near it's end. At this rate I might qualify for Balthus-style training first! And the list of other training I want to get to keeps nagging at me. Without a bit more Atkus I will probably not pass the Sixth Circle test, unless I train a lot more defense or brute health. Advanced pathfinding and specialty blades still await me. And a short stint brushing up on my skinning skills with Skea would do wonders for my bank balance. Sigh.

I have spent some time searching for ore once again, in all the old familiar places.

I actually did find some today, and quickly took it to be examined by Erthor in the outer Champion hall. He claims to be able to extract Earthpower minerals from ore. It wasn't clear whether he would examine my ore at all, since I don't have enough Fell blade training to qualify for Champion status. But he did so happily, for 10c.

Naturally, my ore did not have the required minerals. Yet another stone tossed onto Cassia's pile.

I was surprised though that the act of offering ore to be examined somehow increased my connection to the earth. I'm not really sure what that might mean, although my best guess is that it increases the likelihood that Erthor will find minerals for you in the future.

Walking about town today, I also noticed that the Dye Shop is closed up tight.

A sign in front stated that they were closed for inventory. As if they have so much merchanidise that it would take them more than a few minutes to count it all.

I think they shut down for an unscheduled holiday, and decided to play with paints instead of working.

I worked hard today myself, collecting over a 1000c in furs, and then helping vanquish 2 Angry Mother Sasquatches on Melabrion's Island. A good day, all-in-all.
