Terrdi, day 89 of Summer, 553.

It's been a fairly quiet Zodiac for me. Mostly I have been staying close to town, skinning a bit and prospecting some too.

Several days ago I "helped" a Jade Noids rescue, and ended up adding to the pile of fallens. Thanks to White Wolf for actually managing to kill enough noids without falling to allow us all to be chained out.

I also spent a bit of time on Kizmia's Island. Kishi invited me as the "brick". It took me awhile to wrap my head around that idea, but actually I do manage to avoid damage from quite a few types of Lyfelidae now. The stronger ones (like this Cold) still can chew me up lickety-split, but we managed just fine.

Today I joined the PTF group for a hunt in Sarra, but we even with Natas and Yor heading the attacks, were a bit underpowered (not a single Bloodblader along, for example). The crested Sarra'don and especially the two Sarr'yrms take enormous accuracy to bring down quickly. Things went badly right from the start when we couldn't finish off a Sarra'don, who then made a mess of fallens before being penned in by a Kudzu wall. All too soon we were fighting to merely get out alive. Not everyone did, I'm afraid. In fact, to be precise, no one walked out alive. The exit through the pass was so jammed with assorted junk that everyone fell there after about 1 step. The critters were so thick in the pass that several of us had to wait awhile to actually take that suicidal step too, as bizarre as that seems. The lucky ones were quickly forced into the Temple in town. I thought about a suicide run to try to see some new areas, but thought better of it since were were behind Zu walls in the leafy maze, and I might well have been felled by Acid Cobra spit before making it anywhere. In any case, I saw nothing I hadn't seen before, except that Vian had reached his lifelong goal of finding Sarra at last. What peace and contentment he'll find there, I can only guess. I'm still hoping for a much better look around that strange forest.
