Terrdi, day 52 of Spring, 556.

The Feast of Tsrrin once again made its quadrennial appearance in the Lands.

As always, the costume shop was a busy, and candies were given out here and there.

I myself missed the invasion of Undine at the height of the Feast, but reports I heard from those who were present sounded interesting indeed.

Fundin brought to my attention the appearance of a new bit of land accumulating at the North end of the island beyond the rocks that hem in the Northern Fringe, or Feral Coast as it is also called.

When I went to take a look for myself, I quickly saw what he was talking about. The currents washing along this rocky spot must be depositing silt among the rocks, and it looks as if plants have taken root there.

And so the Island grows.

Looking around a bit, I saw another spot along this same rocky coastline where a tree seems to be growing from among some offshore rocks that I can't recall having seen before.

It remains to be seen if enough land will accumulate here to allow a boat to land, or whether the next big storm washes it all away to the depths.

The Moon was full recently, and I helped a small crew to attack the deep Orga camps and wrest a Strange Stone from the Orga Magician.

It was a fairly easy conquest.

We did have to retreat once from Orga Camp 4 to heal up when our rod point J'jh fell, but then entered a second time in a more steady and controlled way.

Once we got fairly close, Yor raced ahead of the group right through the lightning barrage toward the Orga Warlocks assembled around the Orga Magician. Ignoring them all, he headed right in at the Magician himself.

With two swings at the Magician it was over.

When the Orga Magician was defeated, he took down with him all the other Orga around in a great riot of flame, and the Camp was ours.

Zorton had no luck in obtaining a Strange Stone at first, but Valtrim then tried and quickly emerged triumphantly bearing a Stone.

During the preceeding Full Moon, I joined this small group to hunt on Kizmia's Island.

Since the power of all Lyfelidae increases greatly during the Full Moon, we were in for a wild ride.

We started at sunset of the day before the Full Moon, and fought all night long.

Things went pretty smoothly during the first half of the night, as we scoured the entire Lyfelidae caverns.

At Midnight we headed up to the surface, and hunted quite a bit slower and more cautiously, since the Lyfelidae now had the extra strength of the Full Moon on their side.

The highlight of the night was finding two Cold Lyfelidae, and taking them out one-by-one. Those are amazingly tough at this time.

Overall it was an extremely productive hunt, as I vanquished nearly 200 Lyfelidae and killed nearly as many, and learned a full 2 lessons with Master Evus.

I was sad that I was unable to join the second half of the hunt when it picked up again at dusk!

Sombdi, day 19 of Spring, 556.

Before the recent Chaos Storm, a lone chicken had managed to escape from the holding pen near the Alliance Castle.

This free range chicken was easy to spot hanging around nearby, but did not have much to say.

Unable to help any of his friends escape as well, he has now apparently flown off to better climes.

Where ever he's gone, one hopes he has at last escaped the cook's sharp axe.

I did some hunting at the East Cove of Kizmia's Island with White Wolf the other night.

We ran into several Orgaberry Lyfelidae in the cave, and managed to vanquish them all, one-by-one.

Barely.

After the Storm, some folks moved the Purple Portal from under Ash Valley in the Foothills (where it had rested for some time) to a new location in the Foothills, Camp Dred.

I was out skinning cats when my clanmate Elenis Reyav sent me an urgent message via Sungem that he had been poking around the Mirror in the South Forest and passed through it unexpectedly. Although it was an overcast day, he surmised that the Dark Cloud must be overhead. I dropped everything and ran South, using every shortcut I know. When I got to the Mirror, the area was quiet and I could see no Dark Cloud overhead.

When I pressed against the Mirror this time, I slipped right through - at last!

Several other folks were also able to make it in time to gain access to the Mirror, before the Cloud apparently wandered away for its own reasons.

Since then I have been able to enter the Mirror at will, and have spent some time reacquainting myself with the furs on the Dark Cloud.

I also took advantage of the painless trip through the Purple Mirror on the Cloud to Camp Dred via the Portal. There is not much a lone exile can do out there, since walking East into Dredwood is certain electrified doom, and going West into the Foothills leads one to a pass that is utterly full of Midnight Wendecka.

When I saw this crowd, I felt lucky to escape from there with my hide intact.

Any exiles using the Portals need to be careful re-entering the Foothills, because they may find more than they bargained for!
