Exploration: More action on Metz.
Soldi, day 64 of Autumn, 563.
I have spent more
time exploring Metz, and seen some amazing things.
I had heard that Haremau Kittens were small compared to their largest kin, but I was amazed at the size and strength of the imposing Utsanna Haremau!
Exiles are obtaining some very impressive trophies lately.
With PAG, I ventured
into what has been called the "deathroot snell" yet again, and this
time we conquered it to explore this pocket of Rainforest North of the river.
"Deathroot" because of the Hellebore flowers that grow there, whose roots jab out of the earth to attack the living and also grasp and drag away the fallen.
Inside, we found trees of unusual stature, as are found South of the river.
Clambering up one, we found branches large enough to walk around on, an arboreal highway.
And a busy highway, with many prowling cats and lurking arachne providing severe danger.
We also found a ruined temple, filled with very powerful arachne (oh, beware any arachnoid kin to these arachne!) and strange glowing obelisks.
Although it looked suspiciously like a portal of some type, we were unable to activate it.
Yet another mystery of Metzetli.
Orga have continued
their efforts to assail the Altar and invade environs of Puddleby.
Warlocks are constantly trying to sneak in and zap the Altar.
The
Orga have brought with them powerful new kin, of a type I had never seen before.
Stepping into the East Field to assess an invasion, I was struck by this mother of all thunderbolts!
One or two of these bolts is able to throw back waves of exile attackers, felling many outright and severely damaging all but the strongest exiles.
It was thrown by this
unusual Orga, that appears similar to a Dredlock, but is clearly much more powerful.
Despite all the Orga activity,
I still have managed to make my usual rounds looking for coins and ore.
As I passed through the North Greymyr Village recently, I was surprised at the number of Greymyr protecting it.
Perhaps they have heard of the decimation of their kin on Metz?
