Exploration: Orga Village trouble

Sombdi, day 44 of Autumn, 567.

In a recent trip that I missed, PAG ran a few errands, then decided to take a closer look at the New Orga Outback beyond the new path near the well in the southwest Orga Village.

In short, the trip ended in disaster when the group was routed in the NOOB and retreated back to the Orga Village southwest.

I don't know the details, but one immediate problem was that the two Trillbane pathfinders both fell inside the path, leaving no one able to re-open it for rescue.

The second and larger problem was that those few who did make it back to the well area lured with them all manner of vicious Orga that are almost never seen in the Orga Village.

A rescue operation was begun, and I was able to join that.

After reaching the Orga Village, the small rescue group peeked south into the Southwest path area, to find it extremely hot with all manner of lightning: Warlock single bolts,Hemlock and Dredlock bouncing bolts, Traylock lightning grenades, Direlock superbolts, and something even worse.

When we got close enough to look, we discovered that the something worse was a dreaded Orga Fellock.

We were able to reach the safety of the well, and used it as a base to chain fallens and kill Orga lured close by.

I managed to fall chaining Torin and J'jh (we're all fallen in the underbrush here), but I was retrieved by some quick chaining and the slow efort to clear the area continued.

Until the Fellock finally came near, and jumped into the well with us.

We all immediately left the well, but the remaining firepower in the area past the tight paths through the brush was enough to overwhelm us.

In the retreat back to the main Orga Village, only Aries and I made it into a hut alive.

We slowly recovered and raised a few of the rescue group, and a couple fallens from the original group, but not many in total.

We could not kill any of the lightning throwing Orga because they were so hard to reach and tossed so many lightning grenades that we were nearly fallen before we could get close.

Eventually, we made a mad dash through the lightning barrage for the path to the Orga Camp, dragging those fallens that could not be raised.

So travelers be warned: until a strong group can clear this mess, the Southwest Orga Village is nearly impassable, and a Fellock is lurking in the well.
