Lundi, day 89 of Autumn, 569.
I went on a
rare hunt on Kizmia's Island, during the full moon with some of the KI regulars.
And wouldn't you know, just as we were setting out, I was the main target of an enraged Orgaberry Lyfelidae.
I wore out my catsbane necklace long, long ago.
Mad with a bit more than ordinary rage, of course it infected me.
So I spent the rest of the hunt in the form of a Lyfelidae.
Thankfully, I had prepared for this day by storing away several luminescent salves, and I was pleased to use one to cure my malady just as soon as I was able to retrieve one from storage.
Donating to
Daangrus Diggins on the Cloud is a bit of a chore.
Not only is it a bit far away compared to the builders near town, it is also a hazardous area.
Sometimes you get lucky, and the collapsing roof rocks miss your head.
Sometimes you don't get so lucky.
This makes donating to Und'rus under Puddleby or to Cassia Allin in the "fort" pretty much a no-brainer.
(Some "fort". I guess calling it the Alliance Castle after these many decades was finally so obviously a lie that even Cassia changed her tune.)
Is it any wonder then that both Cassia and Undrus are now both finished - again - and waiting for permits before (undoubtedly) beginning the their next phase of construction - again - while Daangrus barely ever seems to make any progress?
So it was with something akin to excitement that I noticed Daangrus had just passed from 40-50% done to an impressive 50-60% done.
At this rate, he might be done by the Year 600.
I joined a group
hunting the Metz Rainforest.
We used the Basalt route to bypass most of the Gloaming Wendecka caverns, and arrived in the Rainforest within an hour of starting the hunt.
We were doing very well, until we had two problems.
First, Cecil had a mis-step and fell off a tree branch to the ground below.
Second, no one had brought along a vine or a rope (and we found none along the way), so we were unable to cross to another branch to go deeper into the forest.
At least I had the excuse of joining the hunt late,
Attempts to rescue Cecil by going the long way around proved unsuccessful, so eventually we ended the hunt by using a portal to the Ethereal Plane.
Along the way, Super Chicken stopped to strut about in his super-cape outfit.
Faster than a speeding Ranger, more powerful than a Bloodblader balance bonus, able to leap tall fences in a single bound ... it's Super Chicken!
Apparently, Super Chicken
also has a soft, domestic side.
I didn't think he was the settling down and nesting type.
I went recently
to ask Cerberal what my chances were of passing the 8th circle Fighter test
anytime soon.
He wasn't particularly encouraging.
