Exploration: A curious old cemetary in town; an enlarged harbor at Tenebrion's island.

Rumours had been flying about Puddleby for some time that Bloodmages were due to make an appearance.

When the Chaos Storm clouds cleared, a quick walk around town revealed some curious changes.

First, the path near Bick's leading to the NW beach had moved a bit to the West.

It used to be on the East side of Bick's (see my report on Storm 410).

The reason for the shift was evident by a breach in the town wall, leading to a small old cemetary.

Within the cemetary is a hidden crypt, containing a terrifying entity, the Bloodpool.

I was very happy to see the light of day after visiting the Bloodpool, as it seems to be an extraordinarily unhealthy place.

I have heard rumours about the Bloodpool seeking specific sacrifices from those hoping to learn its ways.

Another curious - and slightly revolting - thing I noticed is that one can now recover valuable blood from certain beasts.

Not only recover blood money, but actually learn from this recovery, much as prospective Rangers can learn from recovering valuable furs and mandibles.

I'm sure prospective Bloodmages are very interested in this development, which likely is important for proving their worthiness for becoming a Bloodmage.

The West end of Tenebrion's Island has changed with the addition of a harbor area.

The calm waters extend from the West beach toward the North, and include the Northwest corner of the island as well.

So now we can actually fight newly-arriving Darshak ships in these waters, instead of being able only to stand by and let them dock.

In addition, one can now exit from the island by boat from one of the docked ships, as well as the old way from the West beach directly.

I'm not quite sure why Axell is walking on water in this sketch, except to say she must really truly believe she is perfect!

I also got to meet Barny, the Darshak emissary to the Pirates, who proposes to build an embassy on Tenebrion's Island.

I can only hope that donations to him do not really go towards the completion of the new Dark Temple nearby!
